Madonna is one of the most legendary female pop artists of all time, and with her amazing success in the industry, she has cultivated an incredible fan base. Her fans are very dear to her, and she calls them, “Rebel Hearts.” These are the fans that have stuck with her through it all, and she first referred to them as this during her Rebel Heart Tour. While Madonna was going through an incredibly difficult time in her personal life, her fans remained there for her. The fans sent a letter to Madonna stating, “WE ARE HERE FOR YOU,” and the note was signed, “Your Rebel Hearts.” So, the fans themselves actually had a huge hand in naming themselves, and since this was during the Rebel Heart Tour, this name seemed like a perfect fit. Madonna was acknowledging that everyone goes through difficult times in their lives, and it is important to have a strong heart, while also recognizing that it is okay to break down at times. During her concert in Mexico City, Madonna visibly expressed this emotion by thanking her fans for their support through tears. This fanbase is incredibly supportive, and definitely has earned the title “Rebel Hearts.”
