For those of you who missed it, the Billboard Music Awards were last week and SO 👏 MUCH 👏 HAPPENED👏! The 2020 BBMA’s were pushed back 6 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They were relocated to LA, and the night was still a total hit! Hosted for the third year in a row by the spectacular Kelly Clarkson, the star-studded night opened with her performance of Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love” alongside Pentatonix and Sheila E. This certainly kicked the night off with a bang! The night continued with powerful performances from John Legend, BTS, and many more! Here are a few of our favorite moments from the night! 🎆
John Legend dedicated his performance of his powerful ballad “Never Break” to his wife Chrissy Teigan, who recently suffered a miscarrage. At the beginning of his performance, he gently whispered into the microphone,”This is for Chrissy,” while visibly choking back tears throughout his performance. If you want to feel all the feels and be moved to tears, this is a must watch. 💙
Post Malone was the king of the night! Taking the stage with Tyla Yaweh to give an electric performance of “Circles” and “Tommy Lee,” he gave the fans what they had been waiting for! On top of his performance, Post Malone took home 9 BBMAs after being nominated for a whopping 16! Taking home the coveted Top Billboard Artist AND Billboard Top Hot 100 Artist, Post Malone had a big night! Go off Posty! 👑
BTS showed UP at the BBMAs! The K-Pop band took home the award for Top Social Artist (which is fan voted), and is anyone surprised? Their fans are hardcore and their social media presence is ridiculous! They are constantly outdoing themselves and their social game! Performing their hit song “Dynamite,” they left us with our jaws on the floor! With their killer K-Pop vocals and their intricate choreography, BTS brought the fire that we all knew they would!🔥
This was definitely a different year for the BBMAs, but that didn’t stop the artists from doing everything they could to make it memorable! The show, from start to finish, gave us a night that will go down in BBMA history! 💜
