This week Billie Eilish gave us something we didn’t know we needed! A behind the scenes documentary! Billie holds such a special place in our hearts, and we could not be more excited to get a glimpse into her life! 💚🖤
Billie has been UNSTOPPABLE over the past few years! It seems like just yesterday when she first released her breakthrough hit “Ocean Eyes” on Soundcloud. Since then she has taken the music industry by storm! Her debut album, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, soared to the top of the Billboard 200! It even became one of the most sold albums of 2019. One of the singles on the album, “Bad Guy” became Billie’s first #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100. Are we even surprised though?! 🔥
Most of Billie’s music that we love is co-written with her extremely talented brother, Finneas O’Connell. The two are a hit making machine!! We wish we had their family genes! Finneas helps produce most of Billie’s songs and often travels with her to play shows. We have this duo to thank for some of our favorite songs! 💞
Not only have these two written incredible songs together, they also have won several awards! They’ve won not one...but FIVE Grammy Awards! These awards gave Billie the record breaking title of being not only the youngest, but the first female artists to win in all of the four main categories for the Grammys! 🏆
Billie is also known for her music videos! Many of her videos include cool special effects like “when the party’s over!” She has such a unique style, and we love the look inside her head we get from her videos! Since she was younger, she had always dreamed of directing her own video one day, and this dream finally came true for her in 2019 with her music video for her song “xanny” - what can’t she do! 👑
But what we are most excited about these days, is Billie’s brand new documentary, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry!! This new documentary was released on AppleTV+ on February 26th, and it gives us a look into Billie’s private life as she rises to fame and navigates life as a teenager in the spotlight. We didn’t know it was possible to love her more, but this look into the life of Billie off stage proved us wrong!! ⭐️
For the most part, Billie’s personal life is a mystery to her fans! She’s very illusive, and we don’t know much about what happens off stage! What has been happening in her private life as she became famous has been mostly unknown. Until now! 🥳
Between all her success and fame, we forget that Billie is only 19! This new movie gives us an intimate look at how Billie has dealt with becoming so famous so young. We get to see her ups and downs as we watch her life explode into stardome! We get to see her rock Coachella 2019 and win Grammy Awards! But we also see her home with her family and struggling with her relationship with her now ex-boyfriend. Growing up is hard, and we feel for her!!! 😢
This documentary showed us that we are not so different from Billie! She’s a fangirl too!! We get to watch her meet her hero, Justin Bieber. Billie talks about how she was OBSESSED with Justin as a tween, and she knew everything there is to know about him! Us too, Billie. In the documentary, we get to see Billie read a letter he sent her out loud, and, WOW! A real tear jerker! Justin was able to relate to her on so many levels. He of course wanted to connect with her since she is one of his fans, but more than that, he was able to give her his advice about not losing yourself while growing up in the limelight. Beliebers forever!! 💜
Billie’s documentary was such an exciting surprise, and we are so grateful to get this special look into her life!! She is so amazing, and we love getting to see her up close and personal! ✨
