Calling all Swifties!! This past year has been an exciting whirlwind for us Taylor fans, and this week was no exception! We are BEYOND excited to be talking about Taylor Swift and her new re-recorded release of her iconic Fearless album!! 🎉
It’s WILD to think that teenage Taylor first released this beautiful work of art back in 2008! We feel so old!! It was 13 years ago that we first heard anthems like “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me.” This album skyrocketed Taylor to superstardom- big blonde curls and all! She sold 10 million copies and took home the Grammy award for Album of the Year. And, not to mention, this was the album that made us all die hard Swifties! 💞
Fast forward 10 years later to 2018 when Taylor left her label. When she left, the master recordings of all of her previous albums were sold. Taylor was left with no ownership of her own creations. We all shed a tear for her!! Because of this, she vowed to release new recordings of each of her first six albums. We had no idea how quickly she would fulfill this promise! 🎤
We all know that Taylor can achieve absolutely anything she sets her mind to! And the rerecording of Fearless is no exception! She released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) on April 9th, not long after taking home several Grammys for her folklore album! This new version of the album includes 26 original songs (27 including the "Love Story" Remix), and 6 of these were never before heard! These include a few bonus tracks and new reworked songs from the vault! 😍
Her old songs have been given a new life! And an incredible one at that! We didn’t think it was possible, but songs like “Love Story” and “Fearless” sound even better than before! The album also includes brand new songs like “You All Over Me” or “Mr. Perfectly Fine.” She also included features from artists who are on the original album, and she brought along some new friends as well! Colbie Caillet, Maren Morris, and even Keith Urban appear on a few of Taylor’s tracks! ✨
Now, it would not be a TRUE Taylor release without a few hidden Easter eggs from the Queen herself! As Swifties, it is our proud duty to uncover anything and everything we think Taylor is trying to tell us, and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is no different!! One of our favorites is the key necklace! This is the necklace featured on the original Fearless album cover! Taylor is now selling this with her new merch line! In a way, she is giving all of us Swifties the “key” to her “vault!” 🗝
Taylor’s re-release of Fearless reminded us of something we have always known… SHE CAN DO ANYTHING! This album is exactly what we needed, and we could not have imagined a better way to re-create an already iconic album! We are so thrilled and lucky to have this rediscovered version of the album that made most of us Swifties!! 💜
