What Do You Do In a Fan Club?

Fan clubs are an absolutely amazing way for fans to connect and celebrate their favorite artist! Each fan club is a little different because they are catered to whatever fanbase they belong to. Some fan clubs will have inside jokes, phrases, and trends that others may never understand or catch on to. It all depends on the artist and their fanbase!!

Although each fan club is a little different, there are some things that will always be the same. The biggest thing being that the whole point of a fan club is to create community while celebrating a collective love for an artist, while artists are able to get some information about their fans!

Fan clubs today have changed so much because of social media, so fan clubs that are hosted on a social media platform are a great space for fans to chat and get to know each other. However, a more traditional fan club is simply a way for the artist to contact the fans, typically by a newsletter! Fans can gain exclusive access to tickets, meet & greets, and giveaways.

At With the Band, we noticed that there was still a huge gap between an artist and their fans, and we wanted to fix that! With Fan Crews, our modern day version of a fan club, it combines the traditional fan club, with the updated spin of social media and technology. Social media fan clubs allow fans to chat, but the artist is usually not involved. It is also not always a safe space for fans to share their opinions! With a Fan Crew, artists are able to directly send info to their fans, just as they would with a newsletter, but all it takes is one post and a push notification to fans!! They can also host giveaways, meet & greets, and livestreams! Because Fan Crews are a subscription based platform, it also protects fans from anyone who may not be there to truly support the artist. Artists are also able to collect all of their fans' data to then further their connection over time!

We are so excited to have created Fan Crews so that fans have a safe space to do what all fans want to do in a fan club - share their love for their favorite artist, connect with that artist, and talk and create relationships with other fans!

If you want to get more involved in fan communities,
