What to Wear to the Eras Tour 👗

Written by: Katie Curran

The Eras Tour is upon us, and we have been freaking out! Whether you survived “The Great War” by getting tickets or you’re going with a friend who did, we want you to put on your best dress and dance the night away. This week, we’re telling you all about what you should wear to the Eras Tour! 😍

First things first, wear whatever you are most comfortable in! There is no dress code, so feel free to be your most authentic self in whichever way you want. Secondly, many Swifties have gone to the Eras Tour dressed as their favorite album eras! Others have even gone dressed as either titles or lyrics of their favorite TS songs. The Eras Tour is a safe space, so don’t be shy to express yourself or your love for T-Swift!

#1: Taylor Swift/Debut Era

For all you Swifties wanting to recreate Taylor’s iconic Debut aesthetic, look no further! If you are taking inspo from Taylor’s first-ever album cover, you’ll probably be thinking about light, summery dresses with cowboy boots. Luckily, Amazon has got you covered.

For the shoes and accessories, wear whatever you will be most comfortable in! If you’re dancing the night away, be sure to take care of your body and wear the right shoes. If you want to spruce up the look with a fun pair of earrings or a cute necklace, we suggest something blue or green to bring some Debut color to the look.💙

#2: Fearless

Fearless stans, get ready to put your hand hearts up for these looks! So far at the Eras Tour, Taylor has been wearing a gold, fringe dress similar to the one she wore on both the Fearless and Speak Now tours.

With several of Taylor’s many iconic music videos, fans love recreating the outfits from them! For fans wanting to recreate the classic Junior Jewels look from the “You Belong With Me” music video, take a white t-shirt (old or new) and some colorful fabric markers, and voila! To make it extra special, get all your friends and other Swifties to sign it, making it your own version of the Junior Jewels. Maybe, you’re taking inspo from the "Love Story" music video, and wanting to rock a ballgown.

And of course, you can’t forget the iconic shoes! Much like the debut era, Taylor rocked yet another pair of boots for her Fearless tour. If you’re one for jewelry, here are some earrings and necklaces that definitely fit the carefree, summery vibe for this era. ⭐

#3: Speak Now

The big thing for the Speak Now era is the color purple. As the main staple of the album, you’ll have tons of room to explore and get creative! To get you started, here are some cute purple fits that will surely have you “Enchanted.” Maybe you’re looking to recreate the iconic purple dress from the Speak Now tour, where she performed the album’s title track! Or, perhaps you’re looking to match her beautiful ball gown, from her performance of “Enchanted.” If you’re looking for something other than a dress, fear not! A purple top and shorts, or mixing the purple with a pair of white denim shorts will slay just as hard.

For accessories, don’t be afraid to mix and match! We suggest wearing either comfortable sneakers or a pair of cute boots to match the dress. To spruce up the look, be sure to add either gold or silver jewelry, or even a necklace with the album’s name! 💜

#4: Red

While the Red era gave us bangers like “The Last Time,” and “Holy Ground,” it also gave us more iconic Taylor looks! For fans looking to recreate the “22” music video, you will have no trouble finding the famous “Not A Lot Going On At The Moment” t-shirt. To pair with it, we suggest a cute pair of black shorts, as well as a pair of black shoes and the iconic hat!

At the Eras Tour, Taylor has also started sporting similar shirts, with “Who’s Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew.” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” written on them. These are perfect for fans who want to look their best but also want to be comfortable dancing all night. To top off the Red era look, you have to go for the timeless red heart sunglasses!đŸ•¶

#5: 1989

If you’re wanting to dress as the iconic 1989 era, look no further! The perfect era for summer, you have a plethora of options at your disposal. To start off, a sequin jacket is a must! Much like the 1989 tour, these jackets make for the perfect dancing fit. For even more color, add a bright-colored skirt and a black top to bring the whole look together. To top it off, we recommend a pair of white sunglasses and a pair of sneakers.

Just like in the “Shake it Off” music video, you can also be your own Taylor Swift cheerleader! Decked out in an outfit just like Taylor’s, you’ll surely be saying “it’s gonna be alright” while your “Wildest Dreams” come true. 📣

#6: Reputation

Reputation is such an iconic era in music history, and we love seeing all the outfits fans have been wearing! The main focus of this era is the color black, as well as lots of leather. A lot of Swifties have taken their inspiration from the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video. If this is your vibe, try a black bodysuit with black leather shorts, or a black dress similar to the one she wore when she performed “Don’t Blame Me” on the Reputation Tour in 2018!

Another big theme from this era is snakes and clothes/accessories with snakes on them. If this is the vibe you’re going for, you might love a pair of mesh tights with snakes, or snake-themed rings and earrings. As for shoes, bring the look together with a pair of black combat or thigh-high boots! 👱

#7: Lover

For fans wanting to dress according to the Lover era, you’ve come to the right place! This era is obviously much different from Reputation, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have just as much fun dressing to the nines. The overarching color scheme for this era is pastel colors, or light pinks and blues. If you’re feeling a dress vibe, Amazon is the perfect place to find what you’re looking for, and at affordable prices! If you’re looking for something else, try out this super cute butterfly top and a pair of white or denim shorts!

The big “look” from this era is the outfit Taylor wore during her performance at the 2019 American Music Awards. Her oversized white shirt with her previous albums in black is one that fans have been replicating since the day she wore it! To achieve this look at the Eras Tour, take a white collared shirt and some iron-on decals, and work your magic! Or, take a trip to Etsy and scroll to your heart’s content. 💖

#8: Folklore and Evermore

This tour is the first time Taylor has been able to perform songs from both folklore and evermore, and she is rocking outfits when doing so! She has been absolutely slaying in long, flowy dresses, and we want you to be able to do the same! If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy long dresses, fear not. You can always rock the stadium in a cute plaid outfit, or even rock a cute pair of shorts.

On top of those, we suggest adding the iconic folklore cardigan or jacket from the evermore album cover (if it’s not too hot). For jewelry, add some fun "mirrorball" earrings and spin in your highest heels (or just a pair of heels you love!). đŸ€©

#9: Midnights

Last but certainly not least, you’ll be dancin’ all night, in a lavender haze with your Midnights inspired fits! As this is the current TS era, many fans have been looking to her music videos for inspiration. The most popular one is the “Bejeweled” music video and for good reason! For all you Swifties wanting to sparkle at your Eras concert, we suggest a fun crop top and pair of shorts (or a bodysuit) similar to the one worn in the video itself.

This is also your excuse to go all out with the fringe and sequins! The vibe for this era is so bright and festive, and you should feel the same! We suggest pairing a bright-sequinned top like this one with a pair of black pants or jeans, or even breaking out a fringe bodysuit and fun pants. In terms of colors, we suggest dark blues or blacks, with gold accents on them to bring out the party! đŸ„ł
