Why Britney Spears Is So Iconic ✨

With the Queen of Pop Britney Spears trending in the news lately, we wanted to reminisce on her incredible career and remind ourselves why we love her so much!! Here are some of Britney’s most iconic career moments! 🤩

Oh baby, baby!! We all remember the first time we heard those legendary first few notes in Britney’s “... Baby One More Time!” She took the world by storm with this single back in 1999, and we still haven’t recovered! The release came along with one of the most famous music videos. The schoolgirl skirt and pigtail braids will forever be one of our favorite Halloween costumes thanks to Britney! 💞

Then in early 2000, she did it again. Britney released her new album title track “Oops!… I Did It Again” along with an iconic music video, and we were OBSESSED! This album broke the music industry record for the highest sales in one week by a female artist! Still today it is one of the best selling female pop albums ever! This album and single proved that Britney’s reign of pop music was just getting started! 👸

The next year, Britney made pop headlines once again with her iconic performance at the 2001 MTV VMA’s. She performed the single “I’m A Slave 4 U” from her new album Britney, and WOW was it a performance to remember! Britney shared the stage with real life animals including a tiger and a gigantic python which she carried around on her shoulders! The luckiest snake in the world!! 🐍

With the 2003 release of Britney’s In The Zone she blessed us with one of her most popular anthems, “Toxic!” It was for this single that she created one of her most iconic music videos yet! The video had a budget of $1 million and was the most expensive video she had made. We all have watched her ride a motorcycle and scale a skyscraper over and over and over again! 🏍

In 2008, Britney gave us the release of her album Circus! With the release of this album came one of Britney’s most memorable tours...the worldwide Circus tour! This tour would last eight months and include around 100 different venues. Britney fans across the globe were in for a treat! Her setlist was jam packed with hit after hit! And her choreography would be taken to the next level with the addition of acrobats and martial arts! 🎪

In 2012, Britney surprised us all with her joining of “The X-Factor!” She joined Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell at the judges table for the show’s second season! We loved getting to see Britney’s comedic side on the show every week! 🎤

The next year, Britney announced her first ever Las Vegas residency! At the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, she would put on nearly 250 performances over the span of the next four years bringing in nearly $138 million for her show, “Britney: Piece of Me!” A true legend!! 🥳

Pop music as we know and love would not be the same without our Britney Spears! We thank Britney for giving us so many of the classic pop hits we love so much!! 💜
