Shawn Mendes: The King of 2020 👑

While 2020 has most of us on our couch in sweatpants all day, Shawn Mendes has been busy, busy, busy! With so many things up in the air right now, one thing we can count on is Shawn Mendes bringing joy just in time for the holiday season! From juicy relationship details that will make you swoon, to a Netflix documentary that looks worthy of a viewing party, (the trailer ALONE needed one) to a new album with a brand new sound, Shawn Mendes has been killing 2020!🔥

Shawn Mendes and long-time rumored flare turned girlfriend Camila Cabello met 6 years ago and started dating a little over a year ago - exactly what all of us had been waiting for! He even says in the trailer of his new documentary that every song he’s ever written has been about her. Come on...If that doesn’t give you butterflies, we don’t know what will! 🦋 The couple just welcomed a new addition with their puppy Tarzan! 🐶 This cutie is sure to keep Shawn and Camila even busier in the next few weeks, but that should be no problem for this couple that seems more in love than ever. 💕 Shawn even gushed about how quarantining with Camila helped calm his nerves during the process of making his new album! They truly are our favorite couple in music! 🎶

Speaking of the new album, Shawn Mendes announced Wonder, his 4th studio album, to be released on December 4th and dropped the title track “Wonder” a few days after the announcement. With a heartfelt letter to his fans, everyone reading could feel the turn that his new music would take. This new sound is showcasing how much Shawn has grown as an artist, and we are so excited to hear more! ‘Wonder’ has a very mature and vulnerable lyric, and we can't wait to listen to the rest of the album. Shawn announced the album's track listing on November 13th, and it has definitely got us so ready to hear more! If the first single makes us want to drive off into the sunset and sing at the top of our lungs, we can only imagine all the feelings that the full album is going to make us feel! ✨

One song showed that it would be featuring another artist, and fans were so excited to learn on November 16th that the song "Monster" was a collaboration with none other than Justin Bieber! For fans who remember the famous clip of Justin asking, "Who's Shawn Mendes?" this is a HUGE deal! Shawn and Justin were posting back and forth and making fun of that well known video, and we can't get enough of this new friendship! The song is set to be released on November 20th, and we cannot contain our excitement! The album is sure to make waves. With song titles like "Teach Me How to Love" and "Always Been You", it sounds like Shawn will be pulling at heartstrings! 💘

Last but definitely not least , the big surprise for us all was the fact that Shawn Mendes announced a documentary to be released on Netflix on November 23rd! Everyone loves a good inside look at their favorite artists, and Shawn’s fans are no exception! Titled In Wonder, Shawn takes us behind the scenes of his most recent tour, making of the new album, and finding himself again as a musician - and that’s only in the trailer! Shawn Mendes looks as if he is going to bare his heart to his fans in this documentary and we are so excited to watch! ❤️

Shawn Mendes has really given us hope for the last few months of 2020 with all of these new ventures for the world to enjoy, so we are officially crowning Shawn Mendes the King of 2020! With his relationship with Camila Cabello flourishing, his Netflix documentary, his new sound, and his new album, we can’t wait to watch it all unfold!  💜
