We all have our favorite fan accounts, and some fans will even set post notifications to be alerted about new content. However, we often forget that there is someone on the other side of the screen working hard to bring you all the content of your fav! Sometimes, there can be two, three, or even seven co-owners that run a fan account. To highlight these fantastic humans, we started our Behind the Fan series. Keep reading to learn more about how it started, why we created it, and what it does!
After the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the world in 2020, we found ourselves missing the community that fandoms give us. After wondering how we could stay connected with our fellow fans, we decided to start our Behind the Fan series! In this series, we interview different fan accounts on Instagram and Twitter. We do video interviews as well as written blog interviews! These fans share how they became fans of their favorite artist, how running a fan account has impacted them, their favorite songs, their unique fan stories, and more!
We currently have three seasons of the Behind the Fan series, and you can watch the interviews on our Instagram and YouTube; or read our blog interviews on With the Band’s website! Behind the Fan allows fans to see that they aren’t alone in the world. Many others share a similar passion for their favorite artist! This series also shows the fandoms that there are fans just like them who are working hard for them behind the scenes. This is a reminder to be grateful to them and always treat people with kindness.
We love giving fans the opportunity to share their story and inspire other fans. A fandom is a special place that connects people together no matter their age, gender, race, sexuality, etc. Celebrating this is our mission here at With the Band and we can’t wait to continue to empower the fantastic fans behind these accounts!
